Why clients choose us

Trees that threaten your property,
removed by pros.

Whether a tree is diseased, damaged by an ice storm, leaning over a building, or simply in the wrong place, Honeydew Group removes it cleanly with minimum disruption. We bring the right equipment — cranes, bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders — and the safety culture to protect your home, power lines and landscaping.

Our average tree cost is transparent. We price by size, access, risk and disposal. We leave the site swept, the wood either hauled or cut to firewood length, and the stump ground below grade if you choose. Every job is fully insured, WSIB-covered and completed by our own crew.

What we do

From a single limb to a full lot.

Tree removal

Full takedown of dead, diseased, hazardous or unwanted trees. We use climbing, rigging, crane lifts or bucket trucks depending on location and size.

Tree trimming & pruning

Crown thinning, deadwood removal, clearance pruning for buildings and utilities, and structural cuts to keep trees healthy and safe.

Stump grinding

Stumps ground 6–12 inches below grade, surface roots chased back, and the hole filled with chips and topsoil so you can replant or sod over it.

Storm cleanup

Emergency response after wind, ice and snow events. Fallen trees, hanging limbs, brush piles and hazard mitigation for homes and roads.

Brush chipping & hauling

On-site wood chipping turns branches into clean mulch. Whatever is left is hauled away, leaving your driveway and lawn clear.

Residential cleanup

After the tree work is done, we haul away branches, leaves and debris so your yard is safe, clean and ready to use. No brush piles left behind.

Stump grinder removing a tree stump in a residential yard

The full package

Remove the tree. Erase the stump.

A leftover stump is a trip hazard, a mower obstacle and an open invitation for insects and fungi. Our stump grinders chew through hardwood and softwood stumps well below grade, so you can plant, sod or pave over the spot.

We also offer residential yard cleanup after removal or trimming — branches, leaves, brush and debris hauled away so your property is tidy and safe.

  • Stumps ground 6–12 inches deep
  • Surface roots chased back
  • Mulch and topsoil left tidy
  • New sod or planting ready

FAQ

Common tree work questions.

How much does tree removal cost in Ontario?
Average tree cost ranges from roughly $300 for a small, accessible tree to $5,000+ for a large, hazardous tree near structures or power lines. Most medium residential removals fall between $600 and $1,500.
How long does a tree removal take?
A single small tree can be removed in a few hours. A medium residential tree typically takes half a day. Complex or large jobs with crane work may take 1–2 days.
Are you insured for tree work?
Yes. We carry full liability insurance and are WSIB-covered. Certificates are available on request before any work begins.
Do you clean up the wood and brush?
Absolutely. We chip the brush, haul away debris, and can cut trunk wood into manageable lengths for firewood. Stump grinding is optional and recommended.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, especially for emergency storm cleanup. Frozen ground can actually make access easier for heavy equipment on some sites.
